Course objectives consist of learning the JavaScript scripting language and how it is used to create dynamic content for web pages through the use of variables, functions, objects, and events along with data types and operators. Also covered will be the use of the JavaScript language to process web based forms, animations, cookies, and implementing web page security.

1. Students should be able to interpret written programming specifications
2. Students should be able to debug and test JavaScript scripts
3. Students should be able to include JavaScript in an HTML document
4. Students should be able to write procedural and object-aware JavaScript scripts
5. Students should be able to create JavaScript scripts that interact with HTML elements and forms
6. Students should be able to use JavaScript to parse and use URL parameters and cookies
